MS updates?

I remember, vaguely, a few weeks ago a post about a certain MS update causing a massive slowdown in SWX- I have 2k1+sp6 & 2003sp4 loaded. I figure I need to do this sooner or later, XP Pro at home, just wondering if they've fixed it or if there's a specific one I should avoid?

Also- have they gotten a handle on this latest worm thing going around? I don't have any sort of AV at home, just a Linksys firewall (cable ISP)- I figure I'll get grisoft AVG before I do anything, just in case.

I believe they corrected the hotfix with a new version.  Check for it onyour cpu if it isn't there download the latest version and it should not bea problem.  Microsoft explains the issue Performance Issue.
