I have to render a large assembly (>>5,000 parts). Photoworks seems to have a lot of trouble with this. Any tips on how to efficiently render a large assembly?

I have to render a large assembly (>>5,000 parts). Photoworks seems to have a lot of trouble with this. Any tips on how to efficiently render a large assembly?
Supress anything that will not affect the render would be the first thing I would try. Interior parts and what not. If that is possible. I haven't had to deal with this though.
