wow! this has just reduced a (small), assembly from 8.85Mb to 1.85Mb unzipped!! What has been taken out?


SolidWorks uses a Microsoft file format called compound files or something like that. The files have subfiles in them and some of those subfiles are duplicated as you work on your files. Unfrag removes the duplicate information. Depending on what has happened since you originally created a file, unfrag may remove anywhere from nothing to a large fraction of the file, It looks like your assembly was towards the top end of the range.
