16 Months/27K Miles Later, I STILL LOVE THIS CAR!

Pros: Fantastic build quality, great performance, unique - not a cookie cutter car Cons: MPG could be better, a bit expensive, passenger seat not electric

Many reviews on cars seem to be made shortly after being purchased while the buyer is still in the honeymoon phase. And sometimes reviews appear to be written by people who don't really own one of them. So after owning this 2007 A3 3.2 for over 16 months and 27,500 miles, I feel I am now qualified to give a real-world assessment of what it's been like using this car for my daily transportation. Reliability - I don't get the Yahoo published ratings as I've had ZERO problems. Consumer Reports rates much better than average. MPG - I average 22 MPG in combined driving. 65 MPH on the fwy will get you 26 to 27. Around town, 12 to 14. Extended trip at 90 to 100 MPH got only

20 MPG (I know, Duh!). Performance - this car LOVES to go fast and its speed is very deceiving. Although sport suspension is a bit skittish in rough spots, the chassis feels very solid. No rattles whatsoever - very impressive. Some say this car costs way too much - WRONG! When all considered, it's priced about right. So after all this time, I still look forward to driving this car every day. The love affair continues.

So is it the Audi, the Ford, the Mercedes, or the Acura?
