Can anyone shead some light on this problem? I have a fleet of H.O. scale Kato AC4400's all purchased about a year and a half ago. I lubricated the gear trains with Labelle plastic compatable grease very lightly and everything has been running smoothly. In the last month I have had failures of the top gear which meshes with the worm gear in two units. The stub shaft on the end of each gear is worn right to a point. Any serious ideas on this?
