Incidentally, statements such as the above quoted material basically nullify any threats of legal action. For you to claim stalking or harassment, you'd have to prove that the attention was not welcome on your part, and you made no attempts to incite or aggravate the situation.

Attempting to engage in dialogue, or bait the person you're accusing of stalking into a verbal confrontation, usually doesn't support your claims in the court's eyes.

Of course, your other interpretations of stalking laws are pretty far off base. In fact, your own behavior (in masking your true email address and identity) are a lot closer to violating any applicable federal statutes than the information Mr. Bix found in archived, publicly-stored, information. Specifically, you mentioning someone else's wife and sexual innuendo in the same phrase can be considered by law enforcement as being in violation of the US Telecommunications Decency Act of 1996 ... which is one of the federal statues that can be used against someone if a complaint is received.

That particular law contains a clause that says it can be considered an offense if the person uses a telecommunications device and "makes, creates, or solicits, and initiates the transmission of, any comment, request, suggestion, proposal, image, or other communication which is obscene, lewd, lascivious, filthy, or indecent, with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass another person."

Short of that, you'd have to refer to state laws, which is where the federal government has left the bulk of applicable enforcing...
