Live steam in OO/HO?

A recent press release from Hornby (UK) stated that the company would be offering a range of live steam loco's, starting with 4-6-2 A4 Mallard.

Loco's would run on normal 16.5 mm (HO) track, and use electric firing

- controlling regulator (throttle?) through signal sent through the rails. The line would be released in the US by Scalextric USA.

NOW:

a. I assume that it is not Apr 1 in the northern hemisphere - you've got the seasons base over apex, you could have the months, too. :) So we can accept the news as true.

b. Won't this change the language at the club on running nights. Basic anglo-saxon will still be in evidence, but now we will complain about dropping boiler pressure, poorly maintained fires (can't trust that rotten eleck-tricketty), and other topics rated as far too esoteric. DCC? Huh! Losers!

c. If somebody brings out a Yellowstone in live steam, I SHALL JUST SCREAM!!!

"The people who did this are mindless toe rags" . . .

I'm familiar with Brit use of "toe rag" as a derogative term, but wonder roughly what it translates to in American English?

Could the origin could be in the stinking wraps stereotyped old squires had wound around their gouty feet?

I can only refer to that grerat Italian philosopher, Bugga Difino.

It doesn't translate particularly well into Austlish. Something peculiarly British, perhaps?
