Be careful about posting references to your EBay auctions here, there's someone in this group who thinks they are a Netcop and will turn you in to EBay, claiming it is illegal to post such references.
Of course, EBay does nothing about it...so they are just farting into the wind (or pissing into the wind, if you prefer...)

Yes, farting in the wind is right.
Here is eBay's Usenet policy: http://pages.ebay.com/help/usenet_policy.html "eBay users may not post on Usenet groups (Internet newsgroups) to advertise eBay or an eBay listing that is inappropriate or violates the Usenet board policy."
The charter of rec.models.railroad is at: ftp://ftp.isc.org/pub/usenet/news.announce.newgroups/rec/rec.models.railroad "This newsgroup will provide a forum for the discussion of all topics concerning modeling railroads of all scales."
Is a a posting for an auction of an N Guage [sic] Model Railways book in violation of our charter? Of course not. Is the way that Linda Beynon posted the auction inappropriate? Of course not.
