And I was wondering about showing of my less than perfect handywork at the Honiton hill rally over the August bank holiday

Being very new to this engine lark I was wondering where is the best place to obtain insurance without joining a club of some sort ? .

I am not against joining a club in fact it is a very good idea but my wife is still insistant on moving house back to Manchester after the summer so I would rather wait untill I have moved house before I join

About the only way I know of getting PL insurance realistically is to join a club. At about £12 per year, it's not expensive. I've no doubt a few contributors here will soon ply you with forms and offers. If you show at HH, Look me up in the SE section, 1 BSA and 1 Briggs and Stratton.

Hi Steve,

I got mine through Walker Midgley (0871 871 3080).

I got £5 million PL (needed for some rallies) and covered all engines, trailers, workshops, machine tools, personal injury etc. etc. so it worked out quite expensive (over £100 I seem to remember) but for one or two engines alone it would probably be quite reasonable. I know it worked out to be a similar cost to my club's insurance but they couldn't cover all of the liabilities I needed.

It could be worth giving them a ring.

Regards

Mark
