There another sort out anytime soon then?

Saturday week, Newbury.
Hmmm a fiver for Sodbury.... I hope things don?t start going down the greed route as I must say I think a pitch is quite dear too. I don?t usually complain about prices (and Sodbury is not that bad) but I hope the magic of the jumble is not lost due to people having to charge high prices to cover pitch costs.

I was rather teed off last autumn to discover that the Sort Out was to be on Easter Saturday as I am invariably Elsewhere on Bank Holidays and normally have passengers to consider, so cannot choose to firstly delay going Elsewhere until midday Saturday nor spend several hours enjoying myself whilst they fret in the car park.
So, that's me not going - probably just as well in the current home climate of tacit disapproval of a Gurt Green Lump in the front yard called Parsons by name!
Still, I'd have liked the option ...............
I wonder at the logic of the choice, I really do. Easter is the first major holiday of the year and the longest school break apart from summer hols. Surely most men in their middle years (biggest demographic in this hobby by far) will be doing family things and either not be able to get away or find it resented when they do? Or am I wrong?
How many of us are not going to Newbury next Saturday that, if it were (say) the Saturday before or after would have made their way there, fiver in hand?
Regards,
Kim Siddorn
Kim not going?
I might stand a chance of finding that early A.C. or D.C. generator to run with the Lister B!
Can Roland and a few other people not go as well please? (only kidding!)
Anyone wearing newsgroup badges this time?
Simon Taylor
Helen and I will be there - I'm afraid it *is* a bank holiday family outing for us!
Your wish is my command :-) I consider a 60% rise in entry fee to be taking the P***!. ttfn Roland
