He had the 5/1 Lister and the 4-cylinder JP sitting outside in the weather when we bought our 10/2 off him about 6-7 years ago, we still have the pictures we took of both engines at the time.

The 5/1 looks to have been oiled all over to make it look a bit better... Peter

I note the CS (unusual colour BTW - looks almost like Hammerite blue!) is marked as sold, but much of his stock hardly seems to change from one year to the next. The rather nice Watermota K2 is still there - mind you ISTR that when I enquired some time ago the asking price was in four figures, and as for the hot air engines - way beyond my pocket!

He was asking £250 for the CS single back in 1996/97, we paid £400 for the 10/2 at the time, which seemed a lot but not many were after them and they didn't come up for sale that often.

He had an enormous steam collection at his place, obviously has now converted that into a business.

Thanks Mike, Paul and Nick, that's what I was looking for. In fact It's a very compact collectable bit of kit, Kim sent a couple of photos of one that auctions for over GBP2k!

I was pleased to see it was a nicely made piece of kit as I had visualized it as a sort of big boys Mamod.
