I realise that this is possibly a stupid question for me to be asking, but I am going to ask it just the same.
I have heard here (and elsewhere) about the Hatton's website and as its the time of year when my wife asks me what I want for my birthday I thought I would have a look for a suitable suggestion. I have just been to three sites that own themselves as Hatton's sites but one of them struck me as a bit "odd".
Can anyone tell me if

is anything to do with

and

which are clearly the Hatton's we know and love?
The reason I am asking is that I found it a bit odd (particularly at my time of life) being asked if I wanted to become a model...
Thanks to Jerry who actually answered the question for me.
The issue was what is the difference between ehattons.com which is obviously the shop website and ehattons.com which at first sight could be associated with Hattons but actually has some links on it that seem to be drawing you towards taking up a career as a model.
Jerry's response has indeed highlighted that ehattons.co.uk is nothing to do with the Hatton's shop websites.
Jerry: as an aside (and off list if you wish), could you tell me where you went to glean the info you posted? Obviously it was to one of these on-line registration databases, and I really think its about time I found out how to do this for myself. Thanks.
Actually Jerry, please ignore previous request. I have just re-googled with a couple of typos removed from the search string and I have now found the whois site.
It's not practical, there are almost infinite variations of any particular url, eHattons.org, eHattons.net, eHattons.nu, etc, etc. There's probably even a eHatto.ns somewhere in the world.
Very true, BUT, any UK business should try and obtain those that are or could be thought as UK business suffixes (ie. .com .co.uk .net), most people would be surprised if a UK *based* business was to use a .ca suffix for example so there would be little risk in not owning it IYSWIM.
Hatton's has photos and mini-bios of all their staff, including students on work experience, at

- Richard Davies is 5th on the list, and appears to be the "brains" behind the websites and order tracking system. If you order from Hatton's on the net, you get a series of e-mails confirming your order, charges to your credit card and package dispatch. Each one has a link to the staff member involved. I think this adds a nice personal touch to a large business.
Some people were suspicious when Richard first posted in this group seeking input, but I think it was a smart move to take into account the customers' needs and desires. Too many businesses don't.
He just packed some of my items for Xmas this week! They have a dedicated IT specialist who answers and updates the website now, it seems Richard is the development man now.
