Addendum questions

I referred to an old e mail Ernie had sent me suggesting an 800 or a 1000.

Going to HyperTherm site, I see the 600 has a rather small 1/4" capacity and after that, you have to do an edge start.

The 800 handles 5/8", and the 1000 handles a whopping 3/4".

With a 800 or 1000, would I be able to throttle it down, either with settings, or with consumables to be able to do small thin stuff?

PAC123T/M torch consumable parts

If you plan on the 1/4" or thinner - the PAC123T is a good torch. The RT60 or Retrofit-Torch-60 fits the HT 600.

I own the HypreTherm 600 and have the standard torch and a 50' RT60.

Either torch will do what you want. I cut 7/16 with the standard and 1/2" armor plate but switched to the RT60 to complete that job.

I have no idea what a G2 or a G3 gun is. It might be for a different model... ?

Otherwise use the hand torches and do 7/8 The hand units can be mounted in a holder!! They are 1" in diameter.

Martin - tired of hearing the 600 only being able to do 1/4" and more iffy from the edge.
