I've got a bad seal in my cutting head where it screws on. Can I replace it with any old off the shelf o-ring or with the O/A react with some?

I've got a bad seal in my cutting head where it screws on. Can I replace it with any old off the shelf o-ring or with the O/A react with some?
I've had bad luck with standard Buna-n o-rings on a torch. They don't last. I prefer Viton o-rings.
