Question about wiring welder

Got my new TIG machine recently (Dynasty 200DX). Need to put a plug on the end. I will only be using single phase 220/110 input. I figure I will wire it to a 220 plug and wire an appropriate socket. I will then make an adapter plug to plug into 110 if I need to since it is autosensing. I never realized there were so many 220v plugs. I figure a 30 amp 220v circuit will do it. On the 110 end it seems it can take just over 30 amps but I will probably only use it on 20 amp circuits since 30 seems pretty rare. Even 20 amp circuits are difficult to find. I want 110 capability in case I want to use it elsewhere where 220 is not available. Anyway, what kind of plug/receptacle would be best for 220v. There are those rated for 30amps,

50 amps and so forth. As long as the plug can handle the current of the circuit it probably doesn't matter. What I am really asking is which would be best as far as standards/flexibility goes. Is there a standard plug I should use? What will be the most common type I will find if I take my machine elsewhere. Is there a standard receptacle I am likely to find on portable generators that I may wish to plug in to? Or is there no standard and might I find all different kinds of receptacles depending on where I am. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Barry
