I have a need for a legible index plate for my 10K South Bend. I just recently acquired this lathe from a machinest who brought it back to life -- it works just fine, but I cannot read half or more of the figures needed to set the levers for cutting threads. I know I can buy a new one but the Social Security check doesn't go very far these days and I'm hoping someone has one off a wrecked quick change case that they will part with for $5.00 or so.

Thanks Larry, yes, they have the exact plate for my 10K SB listed on eBay. I hope to be able to buy one for around $5.00 - not $30.00 or more.

Restoration ain't cheap! Looks like from the picture on Ebay you could copy the info on the plate for free and laminate it in plastic and keep it near the lathe . Tom
