i'm monkeying around w/ FMS trying to hover, and can get nowhere close. using a model called "EDGE 3D" even.
granted my flying skillz are the pits, but i cant even come close.
is FMS just not capable of simulating a hover?

I had my best luck with the helicopters.

The heli simulation in FMS is not very good. It is WAY too easy compared to the real thing.
I don't use FMS, but I've been able to hover in Realflight after some practice.
Are you using the rudder? It is as important as ailerons to control the airplane attitude when hovering. That prevents the nose from falling to either side.
