The two fields I fly at is on farm land in the Thumb of Michigan. My uncle two of his friends planes crashed. We use JR radios. Do you think the powerlines might have to do with it. What happens is when flying parell with power lines we loose contact with plane about 3 seconds.

Our club has HV power lines on one side of the field. We've never had a problem, except the occasional plane or two that actually hits the lines. I've seen planes fly between the lines, however, with no loss of signal.
