Is it possible to thin Hobby Poxy

I have a couple of mixed colors of Hobby Poxy that I use for touch ups. Well they are starting to get rubbery, and soon they will probably harden for good. Is there any way I can get it back to liquid form by thinning it with something?

Straight from the HobbyPoxy thinner can....... contents are:

Toluol Xylol N. Propyl Acetate Methyl Isobutyl Ketone

I used some of this to thin some of their HobbyPoxy 2 a few months ago that had gotten very thick.

I don't know if I will be able to mix the exact same color again.

Hi,

Maybe a polymer chemist in the group can provide an educated answer. But it is my understanding that many of the bases of the compounds used will start to slowly partially polymerize with time without the catalist being added. I wonder if adding thinner to "thickened" "poxy" paint fully re-breaks the cross-linked chains, or just spreads them out. I also wonder if the re-thinned "poxy" has the same properties as "fresh" after the catalyst has done its job.

I wonder this also, but since I'm not a chemist I have to rely on trial and error. I was able to thin some of the paint with K&B thinner. It worked pretty well. I mixed in some hardener and applied it to some primed balsa. It's only been about an hour and has flashed over. I'll let it cure for a full 24hrs before I do some endurance testing.

One strange thing is that I primed over the fiberglass and sanded until completely smooth. But after I applied the hobby poxy, you could see the weave. I wonder if something in the hobby poxy is eating through the primer. I used duplicote primer because it's what I had on hand, and my hobbypoxy primer seems to have permanently separated.
