Model Tech ARFs

I am considering buying the Model Tech Extra 300 ARF (48 inch span-.25-.35

2s engine). Has anyone had any experience with this company and this particular model? I believe its US but the manufacturing could very well be offshore. I have reviewed the manual on-line and it appears to be conventional. construction Any advice on construction quality, accesories and flying characteristics would be appreciated. I hope its superior to VMar!!

Definitely superior to VMAR. Not as good as Kyosho or World Models. Good buy, go for it.

I've owned 2 of these little guys, and in my opinion they are about th

best bang for the buck you can buy. Extremely capable little planes and very good looking also. The build quality is good, not the ver best, but certainly adequate. I flew both of mine with an OS FX 40 and the performance is quite surprising. Not fully 3D capable, bu close. Hardware is again adequate, it will get you by, but replace th wing hold down screws during assembly. They will be stripped out afte about the third time you try to remove the wing. Also reinforce th engine mount box with fiberglass, or else it won't last long either. Wing loading is high, so watch out for tip stalling. Land with som power as it likes to really sink if the engine is at idle, making th landings "carrier" style. Both of mine survived a long time before ended up executing them both due to my own lack of good judgement. Again, for the price, they almost can't be beat
