OK Model Co, EZ Mystic 30

This Mystic pattern plane (an ARF) is at least 14 years old, I would guess, since the OK factory in Japan burned down in about 1992 according to a couple of things I read on the net. I can't find anything on this plane on the net, so it obviously was not a popular plane when it was available.

I'm just wondering if anyone is familiar with this plane, since I have a couple of vacuum-formed plastic pieces that I'm having problems finding a location for. Actually I have only one piece like that, but questions about other pieces. The building manual is in Japanese and English, but really short on detail.

I haven't done much with mine since I posted that quite a while ago Its a nice plane, but I couldn't quite figure out how a couple of th parts fit. My main problem is that once I mounted the wing, i couldn' figure out how the green pieces of plastic fit to cover the wing on th bottom. Have you figured that out? I found the directions to be prett useless. But the fact remains that it is one nice kit and apparently on that is hard to find since the compnay is no longer in existence.

Where did you find yours? What engine are you putting in it once yo find a canopy?

My plane is complete. When I got it, it was already assambled an

flown. I received it from a guy in my flying club. He told me it has bee lying around for years. The plane is equipted with a Thunder Tiger 46 Pro engine. He told me it flew great with it. Lot of power to spare. I do not need a canopy to fly it, it is just dented (looks like fro heat somewhere) I got the plane complete with motor but no radio gear. I have installed new servos and receiver. But the trouble I am having is the retract system. The servo I have rotates 90 degs. The retracts I have do not need t move that much to work, so I am botting out the srevo. I know nothing about retracts, I am sure there is something small I a missing here to make them work. If you would like pictures of the palne to see how a part fits I ca help there. If you have a copy of the plans or manual that you could pass on, tha would be GREAT!!!. Please just let me know.

PS: The guy I got the plane form said the retracts that came with it wer very weak. He bent them after two landings. He replaced them with Robart ones. He told me there were a lot better. I have to orignal ones, and they are real weak.

Thanks

Tod
