*_New_Electric_RC_Web_Site_Volunteers_Needed_*
I am the owner/operator of a new electric rc airplane web site www.rcFlyzone.com. I am ramping up at this time with a launch date o

The objective of the site is to be robust source of information fo electric rc airplane pilots. First of all, I will explain what I after in terms of volunteers and then will give you a summary of th sites capabilities. This is going to be a great site once launche and we can establish a strong user-base. The apps and functionalit are there it just needs to be grown and I plan to put some marketin funds behind to do so. You can preview the site by going t http://www.rcflyzone.com/index_final.php . Check it out.

[B]Events Calendar Volunteers* The events calendar is BosDates-powered calendar. You can preview the calendar capabilitie by going to http://www.rcflyzone.com/events /. Basically, this calenda needs to be fed with information. I am working on doing s programtically but much of the information will need to be culled fro the net. For example, if you are an AMA member, they have a hug calendar there with tons of data. In addition, IMAC has a ton o competitive events that should be covered.
*I need a total of 3 volunteers to start * with to be Events Calenda administrators. Again, you should be passionate, be willing to spen some time doing this and want to have fun!
For now, that is the focus in terms of volunteers.
Here is a summary of the site capabilities that will be available a launch. Again, you can preview the site by going t *http://www.rcflyzone.com/index_final.php . *
rcFlyzone Discussion Board this is a vBulletin-powered discussio board that contains a number of forums:
Electric Aircraft Open Discussion Batteries and Chargers Park Flyers Electric 3D / Aerobatic and Sport Aircraft Beginners / Trainer Aircraft Electric RC Power Systems rc Aircraft Electronics Aerial Photography Crash Zone rc Flight Simulators
rcFlyzone Chat this area of the site is a FlashChat-powered chat room containing a number of areas.
rcFlyzone Classifieds just what it says post classified ads for any gear you have to sell.
InfoZone this is a FAQ-based resource containing a TON of information on electric RC airplanes, power systems, batteries/chargers, flying technique, repair/maintenance, etc. etc. Of course its all searchable.
rcFlyzone Links this area is a Google-type links directory containing nothing but electric rc airplane web sites, from motor and ESC manufacturers to vendors of all types.
Photo Gallery just what it says a place where members can post photos of all types, from models to anything else rc-related you can think of.
Events Calendar this is a Bosdates-powered Events Calendar system that will cover all types of competitions, expos and the like.
Thank you for taking the time to review this and for your interest. My goal is to have a close-knit group of fellow rcers building/growing the site and making it one of the best out there.

I did notice he said nothing about an AMA forum. That would be a refreshing change to the norm!

True, but they are easily ignored. I can't remember even looking at the one on RCU or RCG, and I know for a fact it's not in my subscription list.

Thanks for the feedback on browser versioning. As one might expect,
have focused predominantly on IE but your point is well taken an appreciated.
As for the AMA stuff - I plan to have quite a bit out there regardin IMAC but am not too keen on the AMA stuff. If you want that, go to th AMA site! I'll just be shaping it as I move forward.
Again, if anyone wants to help run it, I am open and would love th involvement but understand that not everyone has time for it.
Yes, and you said it - a man of few words! :) That was lame...

You might want to check how the site looks with browsers other than IE. Firefox for instance - images in the "Inside Rcflyzone" box overlap the edge of the box.
