Figure out a way to put a couple hooks in the compartment, and use a couple rubber bands to help hold the battery.
With the original it's relatively easy to secure the battery. Either use velcro, or if you want to be 100% safe there are holes in the bottom of the compartment which work quite well to thread, say, a long rubber band through. It's just that the manufacturer apparently believes the battery will stay in there with the friction the tight compartment provides and the (granted, reasonably sturdy) plastic top to hold it in.
