I wish to purchase a scanner in order to protect my investment ;-) I am thinking of getting the Alinco DX3.

Pete, I Have a DJ-X10T. It has a few unique functions;
40 segment "channel scope" spectrum display Selectable 20dB attenuatorI find the Channel Scope very real handy. this allows my to "see" what frequencies are around my transmitters. something like this in the display. ...|||....|||||....|||.... this has helped my also find interference on these channels, ( a cable TV leak) and solve why I was having glitches at a ball field I fly my electrics at.
