I've heard about adding turbulator bars / spars onto wings to increase performance.Does anyone have any input on this? TIA

Mostly only for reenergizing boundary layer air at high angles-of-attack, thus delaying airflow separation and the 'stall'.
Not for speed. Increases fricition drag at higher speeds.
Good for specific glider operations, and in high AOA maneuvering.
