----------- This is an open ended question. What specific problems are you having or are you trying to do?
One suggestion that may be helpful without knowing the details is to examine a program that will load and execute with a sector patcher or bit/hex editor to see exactly what non printing characters may be in the headers/footers of the program, and compare this with the program you are apparently having problems with.
For some free hex/bit editors see http://www.downloadroute.com/Software-Development/Tools-Source-Editors / http://www.brothersoft.com/downloads/hex-editors.html http://www.softpedia.com/get/Programming/File-Editors/XVI32.shtml or google on <windows "hex editors" download> for a bunch more.
Good luck and let the group know what you find out.
