Is there anybody running unigraphics nx5 that actually programs?

No salesmen need reply, I'm just looking for someone who actually runs the stuff and doesn't just read the wrapping on the cd. I downloaded it, and the training module....'m reading the forums, etc.. I am just looking for some real world advice. Iv'e found before I dive in to a new piece of software, just a few words of real experience sends me in a good direction.

I know someone actually programms with the stuff, iv'e read the posts, I just can't remember who?

Like I said, salesmen not invited. I already read the web page. I don't want to hear no buzz words or silly sales crap like feature this, or chaining that. Just looking for some real world comments on the stuff by someone who's actually made a part with it.

Thanks in advance....(hopefully)

Well, iv'e made posts like the first one years ago. Since then I realized you have to figure out how the coders of the software programmed. Once you figure that out your off and running. Too often we try to make it run like the last stuff wev'e used. I wont be making that mistake this time. The software from first glance is freakishly huge...i'm excited as hell! Tonight, I dive in ass first. that way I get the bootfuxoring over with right from the start lol Damn this is gonna be a fun ride! The bigger the pie, the fatter the stomach. (what?)

Why not take the same approach you did with Mastercam:

Drink a ton of beer and get on Usenet and whine instead of putting in the effort to really learn the software like I have done with Mastercam.

As it is, you can't even find the best source of learning NX even though I've posted about it here many times.

You've learned absolutely nothing from getting fired.

[ I guess no one has written a book on CNC that comes right out and says that BobCAD DOS is what should be used and that finding the points that you need to MDI toolpath any other way is not *practical* in today's world....unless you have much better math skills than you or I seem to have or that MOST of the people I meet in small job shops seem to have. Being honest about this gets me called all sorts of names like "clueless" and "moron" over and over by one poster to this newsgroup. Like you, I'm no math genius but I can do basic trig and know the basic Geometry rules ( What are they called theorems or postulates... I forget. ) ] -The-Donk-Banquer
