Logistics Analyst=97 ILS --- MIL STD --- NASA strong plus --- Contract

Position provides Logistics Support Planning and Analysis capabilities required to ensure development and delivery of supportable and cost effective products with robust availability. The successful candidate should possess a strong background/understanding of the roles and responsibilities associated with Integrated Logistics Planning and Analysis, Reliability and Maintainability, Systems Engineering, Product Development, and Information/Data relationships.

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Logistics Analyst must clearly define supportability approaches appropriate to the unique needs of a long-term human space flight program and easily adapt to change and reprioritization. The Logistics Analyst provides expertise in multiple logistics elements to ensure the development of a system design that can meet performance requirements such as Operational Availability and Functional Availability while achieving a balance within the constraints of Life Cycle Cost (LCC). In addition to effecting flight hardware design, the Logistics Analyst will continually and accurately capture, analyze, and report impacts as needed. Responsibility for highlighting aspects of the supporting infrastructure that can be modified to improve efficiency, cost, and safety. Reviewing job requirements and contacting hiring managers to uncover specific details about open positions.

REQUIREMENTS: =95 Bachelor=92s degree in engineering from an accredited college and appropriate technical/working experience. =95Degree in Logistics Management is strongly preferred. =95Minimum of 9 years of professional experience or 7 years directly related work experience required in space, aerospace or complex system logistics =95Experience must include logistics planning, analysis, and design influence for supportability and availability. This includes supporting and maintaining mission critical systems. =95The position requires broad knowledge in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) [e.g. MIL-STD 1388-2B, MIL-HDBK-502, and MIL-PRF-49506], detailed knowledge of logistics planning and analysis, product support, data management, and implementation and experience/ application of product life cycle phase analysis =95Experience/application of life cycle cost analysis is required as well as proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access. =95Advanced applied skills in the =93EAGLE=94 Logistics tool preferred. =95Detailed knowledge of reliability, availability, supportability, and risk processes. =95Excellent communication skills and is proficient in writing, analysis, design, systems, and math. =95Experience/involvement in design reviews and processes. =95Experience/application of systems engineering practices (e.g. concept definition, requirements analysis, requirements management, technical integration, verification, validation, test and certification). =95Experience/application of reading and understanding requirements, verification statements, functional flow models, systems schematics and drawings. =95Broad knowledge in NASA space hardware processing and sustaining engineering desired. =95Broad knowledge in large government acquisition programs preferred.
