Id like to know if anything adverse would happen to the motor, and, would it operate at approx. the same rpm ? Would it run hotter ? Thanks.

I take it you're trying to recreate the rides at Neverland using second-hand brit components? What if they find Jacko not guilty? Will that mean your role model loses some of his role? It's been peaceful lately, as I was saying to Adrian today; but speak of the devil and he's bound to turn up.
Perhaps Dave the uneducated fundy troll, is wiring up a super powered vibrator?
It would not run very well, if at all. The motor would require 10% more voltage to operate at 60 hZ. A 220/1/50 would probably run very well on 240/1/60.
If you mean a 240V 50Hz single phase motor, it would run at about 20% higher speed and should give no problems but you will have less starting and peak torque.
