Remote non-wired switch control

We have a picnic area that is remote from our house. We have a 3way switch (weather proof) installed on an outbuilding that is about 150' from our back porch. It is on the side facing the back porch and is line of sight.

Is there a remote control "switch" that I can attach to the switch at the outbuilding and turn on the lights at our picnic area from the porch? X-10?

Thanks, Gary

X-10 should work fine as long as your on the same electrical service and transformer.

Protocol for operating switches, dimmers, etc using mains borne signalling. X10 can also be carried on RF (433MHz I think). There is a whole range of products based on this.

I don't know if X-10=99 has a 3way remote control switch, but i guess you can eliminate or bypass the 3way to regular switching or 24/7 power on and add remote control to it, I've seen battery operated switches & receptacles for ages., Make sure it can handle any extra lighting, cooking or utility loads you will normally use at the picnic spot. (Radios, Fans ect.) FYI Query Posted: =AEX-10=99 is a Company that specializes in economical remote control for Household Applications they even have incorporated computerized modules that command their X-10 units.
