We believe that they are also priced right for the type of construction and materials they are composed of. Any comments or ideas how to spread the word would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Dennis

You could have a phone number, address, and possibly other contact information on this site. Not that everyone is going to call you, but it just being there helps. The site itself does not appear to be appealing to me-unless I was 14 maybe.

You could try for more of a technical approach with less hippie graphics-but only my opinion.

You are "Targeting" Locksmiths??-Oo-JK (Locking and Loading)

had seriously debated with the thought of listing my address and phone number on my website. At the advice of my webmaster and others I had decided not to do so. Not because I am trying to hide anything, but because I value my privacy and the internet seems to me to be an acceptable form of communication due to the fact that you are reading this. I currently operate out of my house because this endeavor is currently at the cottage industry stage. If serious doubts are raised because you can't contact me by telephone, I will make this bit of information visible on the site for all to see, but don't expect any thing other than an answering machine due to the fact that I still have a "day job". If you leave a message I will be happy to contact you as soon as possible. Anyone who does business with myself will also have access to my address but only at that time. Standard advice for avoiding scams is not to do business with anyone who doesn't provide real-world contact information -- address, not PO Box.

There's nothing mandating that you do so, or that you post it on the website rather than saying "on request". But the more hidden that info is, the more likely folks will hesitate or shop elsewhere.

Your call. If you're serious about wanting business, you may have to accept some risk of nuisance.

Hello,

They appear to be well made, with a well thought out usable design unique enough to be proprietary.

I believe the products and your business are real, but without having a physical store front AND not using HTTPS to gather personal info will keep most customers away.

I'll probably wait until the business is more developed, and products are produced in large enough quantity to bring the prices down.

Have you considered partnering the sales end with a large distribution company like Mac-Tools or Craftsman, or offering your products through locksmith wholesalers like Clark, Wilco, etc.?

if you were full time ? you are always going to need a point of contact while you're out working. a cell plan would probably be more cost efficient compared to a prepaid plan. I know it is for us...

I think it is just that no one knows this "tool revolution" guy...

A person in the locksmithing business would have to be born in a cave or something to not at least have heard your name somewhere in passing...

That's fine, if that's your goal. Doesn't seem applicable to hole saws.

Right, but there you're selling a data product, and a data address is more appropriate. Even there, I would feel a lot more comfortable dealing with a real address when it came to forking over real money... if it wasn't for the fact that you already have an established reputation. So, again, it doesn't seem relevant to this case.

The data doesn't necessarily have to be posted directly on the web. It should be available so folks know where to find you should there be a billing dispute... or you have to accept that some supicious types like myself may decide they're more comfortable buying elsewhere.

That's the issue in a nutshell. Now you get to decide for yourself which trade-off produces the best ratio of of business to hassle.

The Operating area for my prepaid covers the whole county and parts of others.I don't get alot of out-of area calls. Most of them are done within an hour.

Another reason for me is that I do not want any kind of contract with "The Tower Monopoly" here in town. A few years ago, I got stiffed for a substantial ammount of money. This was because my wfie-bless her big heart-was nice enough to sign some paper to help one of her (now-ex) friends out.

I can't wait to get a call from her "husband"(God-what a statement)that had his little toy at my expense.He now "Operates" a car lot-Shittiest one in town....Let's see---600.00(Cold scanned Cash-No Bullshit) to show up.No.Wait a minute.Gas went up.Let's make it 700.00-LOL

I will eventually get a cell plan like your talking about because I belive there will be more OOA work in the future-But prepaid works for now.

g'day 2 ya Key,

With online sales a credit card is going to be involved somewhere and that is certainly protection considering the charge back potential. All he really needs is a place for you to buy and leave your shipping address. Putting in his physical address doesn't make him more likely to be honest, just means you could find whatever address he puts in. The requirement is superfluous.

Actually I don't sell it, I give it away if you have the proper ID and can complete two very simple steps. It is amazing how many people can only seem to accomplish one of the two steps. :-)

Thanks for the compliment BTW, I am always surprised and pleased when that happens. BBE.
