DS Convieance

How can I tell which keys are true DS Convenience and not only double sided? Do I need to cut both sides to open door & trunk of DS blank? or will cuts only on 1 side open door & trunk? Thank you

You can look in the lock and see if there is one bank of tumblers or two. In general if the cuts are the same both sides it's just a convenience key. You can also see if the key goes in more than one way. If it goes in both ways it's just a convenience key. Only one it's a true double bitted key.

If it's simply a convenience key No, this is usually the case e.g.auto Ford Chrysler etc. If the lock truly has two banks of tumblers then yes.

or will cuts

Yep. A key with the same cuts on both sides can be either. You need to know what lock it's intended for... and then either know the details of that lock or examine it. If you don't know, assume all cuts are needed on both sides.

That depends upon one's definition of 'new' I guess. I really didn't read every past post the guy has made but there was no evidence at all in the ones I read he's any sort of troll. If you have something to the contrary please post it.
