Who's worse for security Matt Blaze or Locksmiths?

This is some hillarious shit. I saw this link posted by the original author in another thread. All the flak Matt Blaze got from idiots on this group over his MK vulnerability paper and how he was destroying security for millions of people by publishing it and the fact is the whole thing was detailed right here before Blaze ever wrote shit about it. Admittedly it doesn't say much for Blaze's ability as a researcher. The method was right here in plain sight and he claims in his paper he couldn't find reference to it in the

"published literature of either the locksmith or underground communities".

Poor research especially considering that Blaze is a computer professional and the information was, according to the google archives published on what is probably the only locksmithing usenet newsgroup there is.

Still he did say that the method he was describing was probably not new or words to that effect so he more or less covered himeslf. Meanwhile locksmiths here were ready to draw and quarter the guy for shit that was already published on their own little newsgroup. This Jay Hennigan guy, who I'll bet money is a locksmith, beat Blaze to the publishing punch by about 8 years. The funniest part is that as far as I can tell none of these supposed locksmiths who went bonkers over the Blaze article was even aware that the method Blaze wrote about had already been published right here on alt.locksmithing. Now that is pretty damn funny.
