Newbie question

'hello,

Talking polymers, does anyone you know of a suitable polymer for food application with good abrasion resistance, which is harder than Nylon but equally tough??

Thanks

You have not mentioned about temperature resistance. If PE or PP base is OK, you can use the following eco-friendly powder to fill the plastic. Take Areca ( Betel nut ) and micronise it to very fine powder, mix it with PE or PP melt ( 20%) and extrude to pellets. The resin will be dark in colour. Mould the desired part with this filled plastic which will give high abrasion resistance. RG
