TG of Acrylics

Jan 17, 2004 0 Replies

Typical acrylics have glass transition temperature (TG) of about 100 C. Is it possible to increase the TG of the acrylics to 130C and still keep it very clear and no effect on UV yellowing resistance by adding certain chemical additives?

I tried to add some benzene ring containing monomers to increase the TG, but the acrylics became very poor to UV yellowing resistance. Any suggestions are appreciated.
