A post-doctoral position is available, starting August 2004, on the mechanical metallurgy of titanium alloys. A first project (6 months) will focus on superplastic forming of Ti-6Al-4V. A second project (about 6 months) will study the mechanical properties of lattice block titanium alloys. All applicants should have experience with mechanical testing of metals and alloys. Experience with high-temperature mechanical testing, structure/properties of titanium alloys and finite element modeling (Abaqus) is a plus.

To apply for this position, please e-mail a resume (pdf format preferred), list of publications, and the names and contact information for three references. Please also describe briefly prior experience in mechanical metallurgy (required) and titanium, creep, superplasticity, and/or FEM (optional).

I've never tried the Postdoctoral position. How do you do that?
