Much like my experience with B&S lawnmower motors. Junior's latest "drag home" may prove me wrong, I haven't really looked at it yet, but I do have a backup sitting there looking for a new deck! OTOH, I have pretty much given up on a Tecumseh powered mower - I will salvage the wheel adjusters etc. and send the remains to another guy for their just rewards ( his truck says "Cheap Lawnmowers"). I seem to recall that the folks behind the show admitted that they "seeded" the yards with parts tailored to the episode. This was done after it was determined what the crews were going to build.

I have been watching this new "reality" show "The Colony" and it is about the same. They really seed this show to the hilt... One of the "finds" they made recently was a nice new crate (NOT THERE EARLIER in the show as they have shown all the parts of this place). In this crate were a host of HF cordless tools and misc tools. They also show them building a wood-gas producer and a generator (with a nice NEW GM alternator).

Scary, that scaffolding on Kubota tractor one with the Durant (Oklahoma) water tower is about 30 minutes away from me...

Engine has been sold for an undisclosed, but very satisfactory, amount of cash.

Thanks guys. The gentlemen who picked up the engine drove all the way from Georgia (to IL) to get the engine, as they explained. They needed it very badly for their ditch machine.

So, they made you an offer that you couldn't refuse? Or did you have a number that they accepted? How could you tell that the auction wouldn't have gone higher than that? Or was it "A bird in the hand ..." sort of thing?
