All terrain tracked personal stand up transport- up to 30 mph over a variety of surfaces. Check out the videos.

They also don't show it traversing any slopes--going up and down and running around on prepared trails it seems to do fine, but you can run around on prepared trails in a Volkswagen.

A toy for the idle rich.

Having tried a few experimental vehicles before they were ready for production, no way would I ride that through the woods. How does it react to a rock or stick jamming the track? Even four-legged animals can slip and fall on loose rough ground or ice, and machines can't come anywhere near their abilities.

As a kid I found that I was better than anyone I knew at running fast over rocks. I was picking a spot for each foot and remembering it while it passed out of sight and I chose the next one, meaning I could look ahead rather than down and anticipate 2 - 3 steps in advance. Perhaps my nearsighted eyes gave me good depth perception at the distance of my feet. They didn't for my hands, I had trouble catching things.

Is machine vision capable of reconstructing the surface of a pile of rocks?

They are primarily sniffing for a military contract, I'm sure.

Looks like not enough power to go up a huge slope. No limit to the downhill it can traverse ;)

Gee, wonder why I don't see them turning it on a surface with good traction?

Dave

No doubt it's a 2-stroke job, so it probably has plenty of power. One helluva skateboard, wot? Looks like a blast to ride.

As fast as balls allow, ah reckon.

I'm particularly intrigued by the skateboard standing surface. I'll bet the stuffy turds in the Army like it, too.

I found the RC mode in the military video kind of interesting...use it to drag a trailer full of supplies to a pinned down team? med-evac?

Yeah, cool. I'm glad you mentioned that. I hadn't seen the vid and will check out more of the site. I must have been in braindead mode yesterday after all that sledge hammer work...

The bastards have hijacked Johnny 5 and chopped its head off :-(

Mark Rand RTFM

I hear a very Indian voice screaming "Johnny #5, what has happened to your head and torso?!?"

Damnit, so do I now...

Mark Rand RTFM

My job is done.
