I just finished up converting an old Cress oven, with one more left to go and have a number of temp controllers available as surplus to my needs. So if you are wanting to convert an old school oven etc etc to a heat treating unit..or have need for a heat control for a project..I have a number of them for sale/swap/trade
New or rebuilt units, they came from stock from a company that did heat treating and powdered metal work.
Honeywell UDC2000 (2) Honeywell UDC 2500 (2)
Programable for just about any thermocouple and data is widely available on the web. These are programable for multipe heat ranges (set points) and times up to 99 hours. You can do heat to XXXXF/C, hold at that temp, go up or down to another temperature, hold for xx hours, on to the next etc etc etc You simply need an external relay, mechanical or solid state and install the unit, then program to your needs.
These list at $450 each, Id be happy to get $200 OBO each or trade/swap for guns, machinery etc etc
Thermo Electric 3226011310
0-2500 F This is a temp gauge thermometer/pyrometer only $50 /OBOTermo Electric controls (2) No model number available but 110vt powered and will control any outboard relay to operate heating elements. One has the terminal strip at the back, the other is missing the terminal strip, so Ill sell them as a pair. Simply set the temp via the thumbwheels and the oven goes to that temp. No timer $75 OBO
Big! Barber Coleman Mod 560 control Still sealed in plastic bag. $100 OBO
Cress control, no model number, 110vt One simply sets the temp on the thumbwheels and the oven goes to that temp and stays. No timer $75 OBO
Ive tested every unit with the exception of the Barber Coleman and everthing works just hunky dorey. The Honeywells and the Barber Coleman will run at 110 OR 220 volts, Im not sure about the 2 Thermo Electrics. They are marked 110vt along with the thermometer..or better known as a Pyrometer...shrug
