Insert Tooling Recommendations?

I'm getting a Lathe with CNC and a manual QC Toolpost. I'm needing some basic insert tooling to get me started. The things that are most important to me at this time is ability to do the most work with minimum tool changes and getting a good finish. I have quite a bit of work lined up to be made out of 17-4PH stainless. I was thinking on a set of triangle insert tooling, Enco has their 1/2" sets of 5 for ~$30 but I can get the Made in USA for $60 if it's worth the difference. Also thought maybe some of the Diamond insert holders. Any recommendations as to brands, types, etc.? I'll also be looking for boring, threading, and parting tools. What do you recommend to use or avoid?

Thanks!

When we got our daewoo cnc, we had a rep come in from valenite to recommend some basic tooling.

We have been using CCMT inserts in size 21 and 32 for turning and boring. The downside to this insert is that you only get to use 2 corners. There is a face milling cutter that used the other 2 corners, but I haven't bought it yet.

They are very strong. We have gotten longer wear from the valenite brand inserts, but I use many different brands. These inserts are available in a special that is super high positive and a polished finish that is amazing in aluminums.

We use the 1/2" shank holders in a weiler toolroom lathe with great results.
