They really put on the sales pressure by listing 3 negatives and posting a fisheye pic that distorted the look of the ladder, didn't they? That ad should be used "how not to" example by sales trainers and psychologists everywhere.

And the answer to your question is usually no. They don't think twice about anything said, seldom stop to spell- or grammar-check, and take lousy pics with a cheap phone. The same people don't shop around to get a feel for prices and usually end up paying retail+ as a result.
