Bombardier has been doing very well. At least three airlines fly their CRJ200 regional jets (the last one I flew on was brand new - in Yunnan province), usually alongside larger Boeing jets, and they've been selling subway cars to a number of cities (they say they have 1,500 on order at the moment).
Maybe that's why the flat-screen video monitors in Guangzhou (nee Canton) show "Just for Laughs" (produced in Montreal) between trains!
The technology in these systems is quite advanced, more so than in the systems operating in North American cities (coin-sized RFID 'tokens' to allow the zone-based systems to operate smoothly). Toronto still has a flat-fare system.
