Magnesium (car) rim composition?

Burned best , 1966 , 1300cc .....

That maybe for they knew they were on the way out anyway ..... 1966 was the only year they made 1300 ( 1200cc prior and 1500cc 1967 on )

Hated the VW , liked the Bilstien jacks , still have 3 ...

BTW Told my boss id like to get a VW , but after working on the junk for 6 months , i got a 1157cc Honda Civic 4 speed . I would demonstate it .... hold the throttle at 8000 RPM for 10 minutes .. Try that on a VW ! When i went to auto tranny school in L.A. in about '72

i picked up a 1157cc Honda long block with one hand ! It had anxhaust manifold connected . The crank was half the wt of a 1200cc VW ! The crank had NO counter weights . Later Hondas did . To show off , i trip'd 120 miles to PHX in 2nd gear at 7000 RPM .

The world speed record at drags is by a Integra engine . Even stock , the Tigger puts out more and wider HP than any engine . its NOT a short stroke engine . Honda is the only Jap engine to equal the Germans .... Isuzu is not a good diesel engine . The Germans are so far ahead at diesel , no one wil ever catch them .

Diesel aircaft engine , 2 stroke , radial . Ask any a/c owner about spark plugs , and volitile fuel !!! In WWI Germans did pusher/puller Diesels w/ 2 props !!! Direct drive .... Brilliant Germans ..

I've read your rantings for a few weeks and ignored them, but can't let you get away with this one; you'll find top fuel dragsters reaching 300mph in under 5 seconds are a little faster than an Integra and I doubt any Integra engine will ever generate 8000HP.

I don't know about scrap but in most metal stamping plants they use a magnesium safety block in the press when someone is working on the dies. It's an x shaped extruded material. If you know someone who works in metal stamping see if they can ask around at work and find a source.
