I was recently given a Coey model 39, but there was no extractor in the bolt. Has anyone tried to make one up, and or have an idea of what would be the best steel for the job. Plus ideas to get a proper spring temper would great. Any help appreciated...

While making one shouldn't be too bad, have you checked Gun Parts, inc (google is your friend) to see if they have 'em in stock? Sometimes the easy way out is the best...
