Need help putting a particular finish on metal sheets

Hey everyone!

I have a couple of sheets of steel I want to do a particular finish on. I don't know the name of the technique, but it is the finish that is on the metal panels of the armoire in this link:

Sorry it's just a 3d modeled image, but I can't find any other images of this finish (probably because I don't know what it's called).

I think I've seen it done with a rotating wire brush, but I'm not sure.

Thanks in advance for any help and guidance anyone can provide.

Thanks!

Looks like more of a scotchbrite pad effect. Start with 2B finish SS sheet. Use a super fine grit scotchbrite pad at a low speed and just wander around the sheet in lazy loops.

With flapper wheels, scotchbrite pads, random orbital sanders, wire cup brushes, and sanding discs, there is no limit to the number of finishes you can create on sheet metal.

No. It's done with a rotating sanding disc on a random orbital sander. The sculptor David Smith used this technique a lot on his stainless steel sculptures.
