I'm the kind of guy that, if all else fails, I'd belly-crawl the 12" crawlspace, just for the satisfaction of being able to crow about having done it. ;-)

You could use lamp cord, wire staples, and a BIG fillet of paintable caulk, to run it down/along the corner and so on. :-)

I've bought several of these wireless motion sensing battery powered spotlights recently ($20 at the local walmart Sucks), and found that the (3 D alkaline) battery life is about 3-4 months on the low setting, which is very adequate for lighting an unlit hallway (up to maybe 20 ft. depending upon wall/floor colors).
These units have two settings for time and brightness.. 0.5 or 2 minutes and dim/bright. They also have a sensor for detecting ambient light levels, so they don't turn the LED on when other sources of light are present.. sunlight from a window, for example. They will stay on if motion is present, and go off if another light is turned on.
The higher power (lumens) LEDs are becoming a good solution to many utility-type lighting tasks. You can easily use very easily hidden low voltage wiring to them and use an AC adapter powered by a wireless switch, or wall switch at a different location.
Thanks
I have fixed it using a photocell switch I threw together.

A Google Group is not a newsgroup. It's a web forum.
I think I've even seen tape with two copper strips in it (like that bendy stuff with the strips of copper laminated) with adhesive on one side, and presumably, you can paint over it and disappear it completely. :-)

That somehow has hooked into USENET.
Hope This Helps! Rich

If you go to
That's because there a MANY Google Groups that are not scraped from Usenet. They are simply Google Group Web Fora... not to help the idiot out, but his group is here:

Its low voltage , but you must solder wires ,,,
Home depot has CFL bulbs , i buy the green pack cause its
yellow output 2700 kelvin , solder a wire on the base lead
of the NPN , its near ground/earth potential so its now
a remote ON/OFF switch for the Compact Flour bulb ,
It must be approved , cause its low voltage switching of
tiny 9 watt CFL bulbs ...
I use the bigger 23watt because NPN's are 300 watts capacity ...
solenoid drivers , and if you parallel 100 , you can arc weld ..
News Groups , i created one , cant figure how to access it .
send your email if you'd like to join ,

High tech , i promise to post lots of remedies for elect / mech / computer ..
glass diodes are light sensitive , and $2 mouse i bought from MCM
has a photo transistor , many tubes , drinking straws alll converge on the
photo T' and aim at a light source . op amp will see the drop in signal
as some one passes ,
I.R. aka PIR is good ,
why not control alll sorts of stuff , Harbor Fright has
GODs for $27 , put a CD4017 in the receivers and turn on
all your stuff from your keychain xmitter ...
HF now has the new GODs with many combinations .
JOIN news group , i created a
