One could not be a successful Leftwinger without realizing that, in contrast to the popular conception supported by newspapers and mothers of Leftwingers, a goodly number of Leftwingers are not only narrow-minded and dull, but also just stupid. Gunner Asch

Woo hoo! You're on the home stretch now! Finish it up as nice as you've been doing so far and it'll be better than it's been since leaving the show room -- if then.

I am green with envy. I've always wanted one of those since I first saw one. Almost bought a used one in the mid 60's but as an Airman

1st class I didn't have enough money to get it. You have done an excellent job. I hope we'll see pics when it is finished and on the road. (The Datsun plate is a nice touch). Jim

New Roadsters were never as clean and straight as mine turned out. They often had poorly fitted panels, some leadwork showing, and boring monotone colors to boot. JR Dweller in the cellar

There's still a precious few out there, Jim. Time for a midlife crisis sports car? Lots of happy hours to be spent restoring one, as long as you don't suck up an F250 in the keaster.... JR Dweller in the cellar

I've got my hands full of sport car right now. Last October my girlfriend bought a 2002 Pewter, Corvette convertible that has the American flag painted on across the rear end. It had been set up for racing but never raced. SCCA roll bar, halon extinguishers (2), racing seat, Brembo 4 piston in the rear with drilled and slotted rotors on both ends, a racing seat (which I PROMPTLY replaced with the original), and bigasses Goodyear F1's all around. Quite the car. Oh yes, I forgot to mention the six speed. :-) She bought it because she wanted something newer than the '81 we have but has yet to drive it. She's not very comfortable with straight sticks. That's O.K., she's probably scare the shit out of me anyway. We really get a lot of looks with this car and trophied in one of the three car shows we entered it in. I'm working now on sanding down a set of the coil pack covers so I can air brush the flag on them also. I'm thinking of trying to cast some badges for the covers in aluminum that say something like "Patriot's Pride". There is a big car show coming up here on Saturday and Sunday of Labor Day weekend so I've got to get off my rear and get to work.
