Yeah, my buddy and I just got our C&Rs. They're $30 and are good for 3 years. Lots of gun shops and online stores give discounts to holders, too, so they pay for themselves.

Get your FFL 03? Request the forms from the BATFE, fill them out (use the full name of the person in charge of your local law enforcement, not just "Sheriff" when you fill out that field), send your check, wait a month, and you're in (if you're not a Muslim terrorist or felon.) They send you several pounds of softcover books, forms, and other fine BS. ;)

and fill out the form to request the form F7CR (5310.16) by mail. No fingerprint card is necessary as far as I know.
Discounts on items which offset the fees?

I just got my license and haven't yet purchased anything. Remember, the C&R is only for buying, not for selling guns. To sell and make a profit, you need the FFL 01 resale license ($200 for the first 3 years, $90 renewal)

Too bad they dont have any Finns for that price. Id like to have another pair.
Ammo is cheap enough at the moment, though Heavy Ball (yellow tip) seems to be the most accurate in the Finns.
You can have your local FFL order them for you btw.

Political Correctness
A doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical liberal minority and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

I'm glad to have found that $100 SKS locally. It was marked $200 and he had quoted me $125 on it a couple months ago. Since the price of ammo doubled, he hadn't been able to sell it. His soft-tipped, steel- jacketed Wolf ammo was $5/box of 20.
Or, for the price of one gun transaction through a local FFL, he could have his own C&R license and collect all he wanted for 3 years.
