A deal for one has just fallen through, so now I am (again) in the market for one of the above.
Nice if it would fit one of the generic 7x10 mini-lathes, but if not, as long as I can make it fit...

Will a 3" do? Harbor Freight has a 3" 4-jaw chuck for their 7x10 for $50.

Also, Wholesale Tool has a 4" 4-jaw for $44 but they don't say on their site whether it's independent or self-centering jaws. They also don't say whether it needs a backplate.
