I'm a big fan of slide hammers .... here are a couple i knocked up in the last 12 months

this one for getting bearings out of blind holes....would of worked ..but the guys told me pouring hot water on the alloy casing would get them out ...so was never used.

so if you got the time and put a little bit of thought into things ...then things work out good in the end .
